Romanian-English Dictionary and Grammar for the Mathematical Sciences

From material presented in the following pages it will be seen that for a mathematician with some knowledge of Latin or of a Romance language, say French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian, the Romanian language will be easy to read. Of course, it must be remembered that the present booklet gives only the information of basic importance to a mathematical reader; exceptions to our rules have been passed over in total silence whenever we have felt that the gain in simplicity more than outweighs the corresponding loss in accuracy and completeness. Our aim throughout has been to produce a booklet that will be useful and convenient for English-speaking readers who may wish, for example, to write a review in Mathematical Reviews of the content of a Romanian article or book.
